SYLVESTER SCHLEGEL
Sylvester Schlegel from The Ark marks the beginning of his solo career with gigs playing brand new material.
Sylle, drummer and one of the former members of The Ark, is the first from the group to make a solo debut since their breakup. On December 16 he released the results in the form of a double single “Dåligt på ett bättre sätt” / ”Vad hände med oss?” February sees Sylle playing five gigs of original music
“In the two years since we put down the band, I have worked around the clock to define what I am, who I am and most importantly how I sound. I have had to invent myself and nourish myself again. The result is a colorful album that with great effort is being completed by Lasse Marten and a bunch of friends from the past.”
First up is the double single “Dåligt på ett bättre sätt” / ”Vad hände med oss?” A classic single with an A and a B-side. Two sides of the same coin. Two songs that may seem very different, but which both revolve around Sylle’s difficulty in understanding his contemporaries and by extension himself. One fit to dance to, the other to cry to.
In other words, just as it should be.
21:00 OH MY!
Oh My! come from Sundsvall and have been playing together since 2008. After a few years they released their first single, ‘Twenty One’ on indie label A West Side Fabrication. The single immediately received airtime on P3. After a few years of successful pop singles and gigs at several of the country’s finest club and festival stages, Oh My! are ready to present their first full length album “Slow Moves”. The group has once again worked with producer Ronald Bood (Mando Diao, Shout Out Louds, The Plan, etc.).
20:00 THE HECTOR
The Hector come from the dark forests of Småland. With their catchy blend of doomsday pop and desert rock they have achieved great success on home soil. Their third full-length album “Led By Your Ghost” has recently been released on their own label Grammofonbolaget De Luxe. With the record in the bag, they are now out to share their joy and anxiety. Expect a mixture of rocking noise and beautiful music.
