Looking like a Mitchell brother and sounding like he’d headbutt you half as quick as one, English Frank’s an interesting proposition. When he’s at his best, as on The Warm Up and F64, he is a genuinely chilling rapper with an astounding command of words and a unique way of seeing things. When he’s not, he’s a technically proficient rapper on cheap-sounding beats. It’s a dose of the 90s New York version of ‘reality’ applied to Frank’s London “ends”, but it’s surprisingly fresh.
