Nico Sphinx of Ice

Nico - Sphinx of ice av Werner FritschNico, fashion model, Andy Warhol’s muse and singer in The Velvet Underground. A style icon, girlfriend to Jim Morrison and the femme fatale in New York in the 70’s, she was a deeply troubled mind – in the grip of drugs and marked by her Second World War German origin.

These days, she is not only a source of inspiration for musicians but also the subject in the modern art and music performance *Nico Sphinx of Ice*. A show mixing fact and fiction as it delivers fragments of Nico’s life.

Director Nadja Weiss originally staged the show in Berlin in 2011 and, together with actress and musician Fanny Risberg, they took on Stockholm earlier this year and will provide you with a second chance to see the show here in September.

The performance is built on an interaction of audio-visuals, music and words – which questions the traditional scenic experience and takes you on a ravishing journey into the mind of an icon.

*Nico Sphinx of Ice* is playing at Dramaten up until Sept 27.
