GIG: PERO ÄLSKAR MUSIK
Teater Pero’s occasional music evenings come back this Friday with an excellent triple bill. The line-up this time out includes HEIRA, the project of Lovisa Hellsten, who released the lush, alt-rock of her debut single Milk & Honey earlier this year, Norbert Lukács, whose music captures a sun-dappled, dreamy, magical, bedroom pop blues, and Maja-Karin Fredriksson, who sets poetry to tender folk-rock. Doors open at 19:00.

Feb 22, 19:00-22:00, Teater Pero

EXHIBITION: TUIJA LINDSTRÖM AND JULIA PEIRONE
Tuija Lindström and Julia Peirone have been two of Swedish photography’s most powerful figures over the past couple of decades, with their work capturing a stark power that has both enthralled and influenced others. Their work is now being shown in a double exhibition at Åmells, which opens at 12:00 on Saturday.
Feb 23, 12:00-16:00, Åmells

FILM: BLADE RUNNER
“What do you mean you’ve never seen Blade Runner?”, asks Alex Turner on Star Treatment, the opening track on Arctic Monkey’s new album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. You’ll have the chance to answer his question this weekend, when the classic sci-fi flick is shown at Bio Rio.

Feb 24, 18:30-20:30, Bio Rio

FILM: GHOST IN THE SHELL
And if Blade Runner isn’t your kind of sci-fi, over at Capitol Bio on Sunday they’re showing the anime classic Ghost In The Shell. Set in a dystopian, cyber-infused future, the film is regarded as an early classic of futuristic Japanese film. Shown in Japanese with English subtitles.

Feb 24, 18:00-19:30, Bio & Bistro Capitol Stockholm

FESTIVAL: DAZE DAYS
Daze Days festival finally kicks off this weekend. You can read more about it here,  and catch an interview with one of Saturday’s artists Merely, who recently released her new album Hatching The Egg, here.
