The verdict is in. The fast-food chain KFC is coming to Sweden! It’s good to have more competition in the Swedish fast food sector but I cannot say I am super thrilled for this new addition to our Stockholm eateries.
It’s no secret that the consumption of chicken has been on the rise in Sweden for the last few years, so for me it’s not a shock that this Southern American invasion is happening. The taste experience was good when I tried it in the states – I do love fried chicken, but it’s not all about taste. I know what you’re all thinking. It’s not the best most nutritious meal you can put in your mouth, but it might be a nice alternative to McDonalds and Burger King that aren’t much better.
It will be interesting to follow their success in our big city. I wish them all the best but if it had been up to me I would much rather have had Five Guys, Shake Shack or I-N-Out instead! But for all you burger lovers out there i have good news, Carl’s Jr is on its way to Stockholm and it can be really, really good!
