Located in a factory built 1889, Färgfabriken is now a vibrant exhibition venue for contemporary cultural expressions, with an emphasis on art, architecture and urban development. The monumental exhibition space with pillars and a raw factory interior is a key characteristic of Färgfabriken, where you can enjoy a wide array of events such as exhibitions, seminars, performances, concerts and night clubs. Downstairs, under the vaulted ceiling, you will find Färgfabriken’s Café serving lunch and weekend brunch.
May 6 to November 26 2017, Färgfabriken presents a large retrospective exhibition with the works of artist, playwright and director Marianne Lindberg De Geer (b.1946). The exhibition, Full Speed Ahead shows an extensive selection of MLDG’ s paintings, films, sculptures, collages and audio works, but also involves her work as a playwright and as an active voice in contemporary debate.
