Most of you will have heard of Vladimir Nobokov’s book Lolita, and if you haven’t read it you might have seen one of the adaptations that has been made to the big screen. Despite its controversial subject, Lolita has repeatedly being named in the top 100 novels ever written and obviously a Broadway version was never far away. This theatre version by Edward Albee premiered on Broadway in 1981 and has now found its way to Stockholm where Nora Nilsson directs Johannes Bah Kuhnke in the role of Humbert Humbert and young Caroline Söderström as the object of his desire.

Lolita premieres on Stadsteatern on August 24th.
