Afraid Of Jenny Wilson

An album that deals with heavy themes like illness and sexual violence, Jenny Wilson’s new album EXORCISM will stand as one of the starkest and most powerful records released this year. Wilson says: “This is the most difficult thing I have ever done, on so many levels. […] I ended up at a crossroads: to keep silent – or to speak. It wasn’t an easy decision. I didn’t want to speak out. I hadn’t the strength to speak out. I was forced to speak out”. And she’s not backing down now. Wilson takes her story to Dramaten for a new performance Who’s Afraid of Jenny Wilson?, on which she’s collaborated with artist Hanna Kisch and director Py Huss-Wallin. A trip through the darkness, through nightmares and dreams, it’s subtitled ‘We’ve stopped staying quiet now. We’re an army and together we’ll take back the night”.
