GIG: SPELA HÅKEN
The ‘Spela…’ artist-tribute series is back at Debaser this weekend, and this time they’re hailing shaggy-haired guitar guy Håkan Hellström. The concept is pretty simple: five bands each interpret one of Hellström’s songs. Booked in for this show are Linn Koch-Emmery, Hundhimlen, Randiga Rut, David Shutrick and Kompiskören.

COMEDY: JIM JEFFERIES
Not to be confused with the former Hearts, Kilmarnock and Bradford City manager and household name Jim Jefferies, this Jim Jefferies is an Australian comic who made his name with his loose, no-holds-barred stand-up shows. This year however, he’s hopped up to another level of stardom after having been chosen by Comedy Central to host a new weeklies series, The Jim Jefferies Show, which sees Jefferies travel the globe for a comedic look at culture and politics. That doesn’t mean he’s quit the stand-up job however: he’s going on tour again this winter, and comes to Stockholm in January.

THEATRE: BOOK OF MORMON
Missionary work in a foreign country is an almost obligatory part of life for members of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, aka Mormons. That fact made for fruitful source material for South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, as well as their co-writer Robert Lopez, who used it as the plot hook for the enormo-success musical The Book Of Mormon.  The first time the musical has been performed in a non-English language, if you have a high tolerance for offensiveness and jokes on the lower end of the maturity scale it might be for you.
