Pet Sounds, the iconic Skånegatan record store, recently turned 40, and now in a new partnership with Carlsberg they’re significantly expanding their activities. They’re launching Pet Sounds Sessions, live concerts around Stockholm that will also be streamed live, along with a Pet Sounds Podcast and Pet Sounds Reads, texts commissioned from music journalists. “Stockholm is a city with unbelievable musicians, both famous and unknown. It would be an enormous loss to the music world if those musicians didn’t have the opportunity to meet their public and grow”, says Stefan Jakobsson, founder of Pet Sounds.
