Nina Canell – Mid-sentence

Mid-Sentence is Nina Canell’s first solo show in Sweden, and she’s doing it at the very top by staging it at Modern Muséet.

Born in Växjö in 1979, the artist got her education in Dublin and lives and works in Berlin, and has previously shown her work at a range of well-known international museums and institutions.

She works a lot with how energy and movement act in relation to each other. With materials that seem unimpressive, such as nails, gum and air, she challenges our trains of thought: things can move differently than we expect them to. In the middle of a sentence, anything can happen.

On display at Moderna Museet until January 4
