Even if you’re one of the seven people who haven’t yet started a podcast, you probably still listen to them. And whether they’re something you pop on while commuting or you’re a hardcore fan, Poddfest 2019 will be the home of everything in podding in Stockholm. There’ll be live podcasts, talks and more, and it comes to Fotografiska this weekend.

FILM: CINEMA MADE IN ITALY
This weekend gives Stockholmers an opportunity to get up to speed with the best in new Italian film, when the Cinema Made In Italy festival opens at Biograf Saga. The festival will be showing some of the most critically acclaimed Italian films of the last few years, all for the first time on Swedish soil. Several of the figures behind the films will also be present at the festival for talks and Q’n’As. The festival opens on March 21, with Paolo Virzi’s film Notti Magiche, the plot of which involves the murder of a film director. Three of the film’s stars, Mauro Lamantia, Giovanni Toscano and Irene Vetere, will be present at the screening. The festival continues until March 24.

CLUB: WE DANCE TO THE BEAT
Everyone’s favourite pint-sized popstar Robyn returned last year with her new album Honey, one that went on to be critically acclaimed and add another couple of standout hits to the Robyn canon. She’s even bringing it live to Stockholm later this summer with a show at Sjöhistoriska. But if you can’t get a ticket for that, or simply can’t wait until then, you’ll be able to get your methadone hit of Robyn this weekend at Debaser. They’re hosting the club night We Dance To The Beat, a tribute to Robyn. There’ll be a flood of Robyn hits from the DJs, plus a bunch of other surprises. If you’re a Robyn fan, it’s one not to be missed. Entry is free until 22:00 and 120kr after.

CLUB: BROKEN HEARTS CLUB
Musical scientists have long wondered: Are Dolores Haze emo? And now that question has finally been answered with the band’s emo club night at Södra Teatern. Titled ‘Broken Hearts Club’, the club night is running occasionally all through spring, and it’s back again this weekend.  “MY FRIENDS SAY I SHOULD ACT MY AGE, BUT WHAT’S MY AGE AGAIN???! Welcome to our emo club where we party like it was 2007”, say the band. DJs for tomorrow come from post-punks Dead Vibrations.
