Converse’s latest move has seen them step into street style and club culture around the world. The American shoe giant has teamed up with Amsterdam street brand Patta and London club night Deviation (run by DJ, BBC Radio Presenter and Kanye-collaborating producer Benji B) for a new collection, designed mainly around Casentino wool. Casentino wool has become in-trend in the fashion world over recent years, and its robustness and durability makes it ideal for streetwear. Here, it’s coloured in Dutch orange as a reminder of the collection’s roots. The inspiration for the collection’s designs comes from the history of the Deviation club night.

Patta’s founder Gee Schmdt says: “I think our strength lies in the way both brands evolved and on what we’ve achieved over time. Consistency is something I highly regard, and I am absolutely inspired by the way these guys have built and kept their club night relevant through the years […] This collection is a reflection of these three entities coming together, highlighting Benji’s and Jude’s [from Deviation] tailoring taste, sprinkling it with some Patta flavor, with Converse as the enabler of it all!”.

The collection consists of a full-zip Converse Essential Hoodie, a trench coat, full-length t-shirt and chinos, along with (naturally) three new designs of Converse’s One Stars and Chuck ’70 shoes, all designed with the distinctive Orange Casentino wool.

The Converse X Deviation collection is available from Sneakersnstuff, Åsögatan 124
