GIG: GRAPELL
We stretch the Weekender to a Thursday as it’s Easter weekend, which means we’ve got a Thursday night concert to bundle into the mix. Cowboy romantics Grapell are coming to Debaser, bringing some of the highlights of their excellent new EP Sucker, full of open-hearted, soulful rock. Support comes from Jacob Douglas, and Klubb Common People handle DJ duties.

CLUB: UNDER BRON CLOSING PARTY
It’s the seasonal changing of the guard again, as Under Bron takes leave of the space under the Skanstull bridge so that its summer cousin Trädgården can take over. Trädgården kicks off in a few weeks, but this weekend marks Under Bron’s goodbye until autumn, and they’re heading out with a bang with a massive closing party. Upstairs it’s Parisa Kohnecian b2b Destiny Rainey, Eka Scratch b2b Boj Lucki and Johanna Beckman b2b Aron McFaul. Downstairs you’ll find Johanna Schneider b2b Edvin Wikner, CJ Scott b2B DJ Clea and Samo DJ b2b Rastanils. Polanco & Linda Lazarov are in the candle room, and there’s something very special happening in the Nature Bar. Mount Liberation Unlimited are in place, along with a special secret guest as a live act (tickets for that secret show are here).

BAR: DRAMATENBAREN
Dramaten is as a whole closing soon for renovations, and as part of that their bar lounge Dramatenbaren is also closing down for a bit. So Thursday is the last chance for a time you’ll have to drop in and help them empty out the last of their booze stocks. On the entertainment menu is diva and burlesque from Aurora Brännström and Johanna Fossum and Fräulein Frauke.

FILM: MIYAZAKI – SPIRITED AWAY
The Sunday movie over at Bio & Bistro Capital this weekend is Miyazaki’s Oscar-winning classic Spirited Away, an animated tale of spooks and… well, you’ve either seen it a hundred times or you need to see it, so you can figure it out. Shown in Japanese with Swedish subtitles.
