These days the line between pop icon and marketing sensation is especially blurry, personified perhaps by Lana Del Rey’s ascent to stardom on the back of some shrewdly orchestrated hype and one particularly beautiful song – Video Games.
With her backstory now well and truly well-trodden, LDR is settling into the pop star life she obviously craved with aplomb. With the follow-up to her faintly ridiculous Born To Die album promising to be a “darker and more spiritual”, her difficult second album on the way.
