The second-hand charity store chain Erikshjälpen, the profits of which go to vulnerable families all over the world, are hitting up the web. They’re launching a new online boutique secondhand.se, to add to their 63 physical stores around the country. And just like the stores, the online boutique will sell everything from clothes to records.

The new online store is running a campaign this summer, where various celebrities will open their own ‘shop-ins’ on the site, selling items they don’t use anymore but believe deserve a second life. Participants include the music journalist Fredrik Strage (who’ll be selling, naturally, a part of his record collection), the blogger and writer Flora Wiström and YouTuber Clara Henry.

Tomas Bjöersdorff of Erikshjälpen says “We know that there’s an enormous interest in buying second-hand, and that more consumers want to reduce their impact on the climate. More people also want to buy via their mobile or web device. Through secondhand.se we want to make it easier to shop sustainably”.
