In a snug, convivial and slightly disorderly Östermalm locale, chefs Niklas Ekstedt and Maximilian Mellfors have opened their wine bar Tyge & Sessil. Focused entirely on a wide selection of roughly 300 natural wines, the duo aims to take down the mystique surrounding wine. At Tyge & Sessil, wine is to be consumed without pomp, circumstance and a load of pretension, as it originally was intended to be.
If you need more than wine, a selection of simple but tasty comfort food dishes is available to go with the wines. As you’d expect from a place where spontaneity rather than planning rules, table reservations are not possible.
