At Kasai, Sweden’s very first Japanese dinner club, dining as entertainment is taken to a whole new level. The split-level space on Linnégatan offers several sections, among them a dining room with a large centrepiece dining table that also doubles as a stage.

To up the wow factor, Los Angeles-based chef Danny Elmaleh (known from SBE’s Katsuya and Cleo) has been brought in to oversee the menu, and by his side is local chef Benke P. Tantiyothinn, who has previously tended the kitchen at Råkultur.
“The Japanese kitchen offers a pallet of possibilities and with Kasai, it is my hope to give Stockholm a new Japanese experience”, says Elmaleh.

Kasai’s different sections include an izakaya, a robata bar, a sushi bar and a courtyard that has been transformed into a Japanese garden. Architectural office Stylt is behind the look of the place.
