For the first time McCabe Fine Art is presenting German artist Georg Baselitz, who rose to fame in the 1960s and has become one of the most successful German artists. Inspired by folk art as well as German expressionism, his figures are often upside down and remind us of the complex and disoriented identity of the German people in the wake of the Second World War. The pieces on display are from his Collusion series, referencing the blacking-out of windows to protect against enemy strikes during war.
