Dinner and a Movie
Set along the water at Liljeholmsviken, local cinema Bio Rio has launched Salong 2, a slightly experimental, all-day gastronomic venue.
Neither a café nor a restaurant, the so called “food saloon” serves up breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch and dinner, and also offers a customised meal with one’s film. This way, chef Daniel Israelsson and his partner Daniel Brännström wish to blur the boundaries of what a neighbourhood movie theatre can be.
Although not wanting to label the restaurant vegetarian, meat is completely absent from the menu, with Belgian-French inspired dishes such as onion soup, quiche and deep-fried risotto croquettes featured on the a la carte menu.
