After the ten year anniversary of Frontline Railjam (an international skateboard contest, for those unaware of what Frontline Railjam actually is) Solidaritet Arena will host an after party where Labyrint and Ison & Fille will be among the performers.

The hip hop/reagge band Labyrint from Uppsala has for years been challenging Swedish society in their lyrics and music. A chunk of their live gigs during the last couple of years were cancelled, due to the groups pro-marijuana lyrics and agenda. There’s still no doubt, however, about their influence on a new wave of Swedish hip hop. Their involvement in the Redline Recordings family has put their name permanently on the Swedish musical map.

Ison & Fille can almost be seen as the first hip hop heirs of the 21st century. At a time when everyone wondered what happened to The Latin Kings, and at the same time saw artists like Ken Ring and Petter rise to fame, Ison & Fille released their debut Vår sida av stan (our side of town) in 2002. Tracks like ”Fakka ur!” and ”När vi glider” are still songs you can look back to and realize their influence on much of the artists reaching out after Ison & Fille. They took what was important from the ever-changing rap climate of the 90s and brought it into the 21st century. Initiating their collaboration with Redline producer Mack Beats has taken their game to a new level, after a couple of years incognito.
