The Forest & The Trees @ Lilla Hotellbaren, September 11

Striking down with their catchy pop-tunes in 2010, couple and musical duo Joel and Linnea Edin constitute The Forest & The Trees. Their music is typical Swedish indiepop, with bittersweet lyrics and playful melodies. Also, it’s their devotion to creating pretty sweet-sounding harmonies that catches your ear for their work. 

Formed in 2008, the couple initially played together in the band Tupelo Honey (a nod to the incredible Van Morrison song from the 1971 album with the same name), but soon figured they’d be better off alone together. The self-titled debut saw first light in 2010, and since then several singles and an EP have been released. 

The couple released their second full-length album this summer. Missions is an album packed with Swedish pop music at its best.
