The weekend has finally arrived. Here’s a list of what we recommend you check out over the coming few days.

Thursday

MAD Collabo VOLUME II
Ola Kalnins & Robbin Carlzon, two of Sweden’s most famous graffiti artists are exhibiting their work at Ugallery in Norrmalm  from 17.00. The duo’s work, inspired by comic books, music and film, can usually be found on rooftops and industrial premises in Malmö. The exhibition runs until September 19.

 

Dance teachers from the Tango Buena Madera troupe are offering tango lessons for beginners from 20.30-24.00.

 

Friday

Kapten Röd will perform a number their reggae inspired tracks from his second album, Stain As Never Goes Away, at  Gröna Lund from 20.00 on Friday. Price: 190 SEK

DJ Dutty P takes over the sound system in the Upstairs Bar at the Clarion Hotel on Södermalm on Friday.  From 22-0300 he will be pumping out Caribbean, reggae and roots music. Expect classic mixed in with the latest riddums.

Each weekend the Upstairs Bar will host different sections of the Stockholm music industry. For more info click here.

 

Saturday

Woven hand a band from Denver, Colorado led by former 16 Horsepower lead singer David Eugene Edwards play Strand in Hornstull. Their music combines elements of folk, country and alternative rock. Doors open at 1900.  Tickets: 240 sek.

Love Antell released the album “The streets belong to us” earlier this year.  Fresh from his performance at Popaganda last week he plays a free gig at Tensta Arthall at 15.00 on Saturday. Support band: Revolutionary Poetry.
