It’s been a strange year for Stockholm institution Snottys. Having long been threatened by noise complaints from neighbours and financial problems, a sister bar opened up in Hornstull over the summer before the original was finally shuttered by the city in August. But now rising like a phoenix from the flames is new bar Yttons.

Stockholm Direkt reports that two of the bar’s former bartenders, along with an old regular, are behind the new venture, and it aims to keep the same focus on music and unpretentious fun as its predecessor. This weekend marks the opening of Yttons, with the opening party on Friday from 16:00.
