Zita Folkets Bio are brightening up some of the winter’s darkest months by showing a series of new Swedish short films. There are four dates in late November and December. The first is Push It, Julia Thelin’s film about a drama between gymnasts on November 29. Then there’s Lia Hietala’s Min Homosyster about young people discovering their sexuality and Viktor Johansson’s Stranded and Victor Lindgren’s Kometen, both based around the experiences of refugees in Sweden. Entry to all four films is free, and all feature a mingle session either before or after the showing.

Push It Nov 29, Kometen Dec 6, Min Homosyster Dec 13, Stranded Dec 20. All showing at Zita Folkets Bio.
