FKP Scorpio presents:
LINDI ORTEGA (22:00)
Lindi Ortega is visiting Mountain Fest 2014 in Norway, with artists such as Lana Del Rey, Franz Ferdinand and Blondie, and also fitting in two exclusive gigs in Sweden.
Lindi Ortega is a star on the rise in the country music world. Ortega is Toronto – born but now living in Nashville. Her experience living in the country music city has colored the artist’s sensitive soul and left its mark on the new album Tin Star. The album is about overcoming obstacles and working as a servant of the music against all odds. The songs have themes that are typical of classic country – loneliness, unrequited love, breakup and desire – but with a contemporary twist. Backed by Grammy-nominated producer Dave Cobb Ortega is critically acclaimed album Little Red Boots from the 2011 and 2012 Cigarettes & Truck Tops. Tin Star develops Ortega’s distinctive voice and well-honed songwriting further and aims to raise the level with every record she’s doing to push herself to achieve the perfect album. Working with new musicians on each disc has given energy and experience. To those of you who love the magic of the stars on the rise – do not miss Lindi Ortega live!
“If Miss Li would cash in on a track that was a little more rockabilly and americana, she could end up near Lindi Ortega. They have similar voices – of the piercing variety – and the same sort of dashing energy, although Canadian Lindi Ortega (now residing in Nashville) is a more cool laidback stage personality than Miss Li.” – Dan Backman , SvD
