Since the release of their debut EP In Thin Air a few years ago, pop duo I Am Karate (Erika Soldh Ahlström and Marta Pettersson) have maintained a steady stream of singles, each showcasing their angular take on art-pop. The latest of them is Work It Out, which landed last year, a heady, giddy singalong rush of a song. They’re about to enter the studio to put in the work on their debut album, but before that you can catch them live at Hilma on Thursday. Support comes from ILY, who released the disco-pop single Need To Know just a couple of days ago.
