FILM: EX MACHINA
Ex Machina was maybe the film that was Alicia Wikander’s breakout role, when her portrayal of the android Ava made her an international star. The plot here is something between Blade Runner and I, Robot, boiling down to something like “what exactly should we think of robots?”. Armémuseum are showing it this weekend, in English with Swedish subtitles.

Feb 17, 14:30-16:30, Armémuseum

FILM: OUR BLUE PLANET
BBC’s wildlife series are some of the most popular around, and Blue Planet II, an exploration of the world’s marine life, is no exception. This weekend you’ll have the chance to appreciate the spectacular imagery at on the huge domed screen at Naturhistoriska’s Cosmonova viewing hall.

Feb 16, 13:00-14:00, Naturhistoriska

MARKET: BOOKS & DESIGN MARKNAD
Book fans can head out to Kungsholmen this weekend where they’ll find 600 m2 of books on sale, along with design exhibitors and design pieces on sale, from art to jewellery. Exhibitors include illustrator Schulverket, jewellery designers Toini Berg and graphic designers Pale Grain.
Feb 16, 11:00-16:00, Alströmergatan 20

GIG: S POUSETTE
Cherish Label released S Pousette’s single 4 A Lifetime a couple of months ago, a track that sounds like early 00s pop put through a modern trap and techno filter, and on Friday they’re releasing the rest of her debut EP 2U. They’re celebrating with a party on the bar boat Patricia on the Södermalm shore. S Pousette plays live and Hardcore Cutie, Kou and Destination Unknown DJ.

Feb 16, 19:00-23:00, Patricia

THEATRE: TOTAL STRUKTURALITET
KonstAB (Filip Aladdin, Ossian Melin and Anton Hellström) may not consider themselves theatre people (Aladdin: “I have limited experience with theatre. I think it gives us freedom, because we don’t know all the rules”), but their surrealist ‘Total’ plays have caused some of the biggest stir of any theatrical pieces in Sweden over the last few years. The third and final edition of the trilogy, Total Strukturalitet, explores ‘fascism, astral projection and esoterism and the Swedish culture scene’, and the plot opens with a murder at Moderna Museet.
Feb 15, 16, Brunnsgatan Fyra
