Photography is a tool, albeit a subjective one, with which we can document our everyday lives and the interesting moments that happen throughout it. Two people who have documented their lives are the late Linda McCartney and her daughter Mary. Linda became the first person to both be photographed for and to have taken a photograph for the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. While Queen Elizabeth II became the longest-reigning monarch in history in 2015, it was Mary who took the official portrait.
The photographs at the Mother Daughter exhibition at Fotografiska take you on a journey that spans three decades and includes family moments, interactions with icons like Jimi Hendrix, Mick Jagger, Kate Moss and Rihanna, and adventures through the everyday lives of the McCartneys capturing moments of intimacy and mystery behind the photos.
