In this exhibition at ArkDes, imported from the V&A in London, the idea is to look towards the future without the sense of doom we usually do. It features 80 innovations of the far and near future, looking at how technology might respond to the challenges and voids of our time. Examples include cryo-preservation, wearable tech and more. The exhibition also explores the ethical questions behind these technologies – is the way they will change the world really for the better? When certain possibilities open up, should we hesitate about taking them? As the exhibition text says, “it is up to us to create the future we want”.
