Pre-Raphaelite is a curiously counter-intuitive term for those outside the art world – it actually describes a movement which occurred after the celebrated Raphael’s era, which rejected his legacy and attempted to return to the more complex style that existed before him. English artist Edward Burne-Jones was a vivid member of that movement, and now a collection of his work is coming to Stockholm. A section of an earlier Tate London exhibition has been re-engineered and now makes its home at Prins Eugens Waldermarsudde in the form of Edward Burne-Jones – Prerafaeliterna och Norden, opening in September.
