Julbord, a big ol Christmas meal with colleagues or friends before everyone breaks for the holidays, is a Swedish tradition. But as you’d imagine, it can often be more stuffy and formal than fun. So dream-pop band Amason and chef Filip Fastén have taken it upon themselves to make it more entertaining. They’re putting on a julbord at Fastén’s restaurant Gyldene Freden in Gamla Stan this year, with Amason in charge of the music and Fastén the food (admittedly, the other way around would be odd).
You can expect a meal at 19:00, with the concert from Amason and other various entertainments kicking off at 22:00. Tickets come in two categories, The True Gyldene Freden Experience or the The Bellman Community Table Extravaganza, depending on when in the restaurant you want to be located. Both clock in at 1500kr plus tip.
Tickets go on sale at October 18 at 09:00.
