Finnish design brand Marimekko are known for their bold colours and designs, and the popularity of their products has taken them all over the world with stores in Oslo, Bangkok, Melbourne and Shanghai. And now it’s Stockholm’s turn. They’re opening a new boutique at Norrmalmstorg, the first in Sweden, which will be the brand’s flagship store outside of Finland. With a concept from the design studio Pentagram, the store will house Marimekko’s entire range, from interior design to bags and accessories.

Päivi Paltola, Chief Marketing Officer at Marimekko says: “Our goal is to offer better service and an ensemble that is even more inspiring for our customers. In the constantly changing retail environment we want our stores to be a place where all our customers all over the world can have meaningful visual and emotional experiences. We have in recent years focused on creating a holistic customer experience while enhancing our customer service and our staff’s expertise in our stores”.

The store opens today, February 9.
