Burning Beauty – David LaChapelle
David LaChapelle is a photographer renowned for his hyper-realistic aesthetic and socially critical eye.  He takes his influence from a range of sources; pornography, amateur photography, and movies and fits them into his artistic vision.
Four years ago Jan and Per Broman organised a successful exhibition of David LaChapelle’s work in Nacka, resulting in their decision to establish Fotografiska.  To celebrate Fotografiska is opening the largest exhibition of LaChapelle’s work ever.  The exhibition will take up the whole house and is the only time that a single artist’s exhibition will fill Fotografiska for more than three months.  Burning Beauty will include more than 250 works, music videos and films from the entirety of LaChapelle’s thirty year career.  Burning Beauty will open on the 29 November and will run until 3 March 2013.
