Hair – whether on the face, head or body – arouses emotions and curiosity in people. The hair that we have, or lack, expresses identity and creativity. It also highlights what is considered the norm, taboo, provocative or attractive.
Opening today, the exhibition Hair at Nordiska Museet documents societies’ changing attitudes to hair through the ages.
