So the various cultural institutions of Stockholm are getting their programmes into gear for a little more of a yuletide feeling. And Kungliga Operan are blessed in that regard\, as they can pull out The Nutcracker (Nötknäpparen) as their Christmas special. This version dates back to 1995\, with choreography from Pär Isberg and set in the world of children’s author Elsa Beskow. DESCRIPTION:Look\, again\, Sleeping Beauty is a story we really don’t have to explain to you. But if you’ve only ever seen it as a Disney story\, it might be time to catch it in a more art-rich form. Pyotr Tchaikovsky transformed the fairy tale into a ballet in 1890\, and it’s this incarnation that comes to Vitabergsparken in August.
