We’re on the brink of another St. Patrick’s Day, as Ireland’s national holiday lands this Saturday on March 17. And even though Stockholm is a long way from Dublin, there’s a lot planned in the city to celebrate. Nya Carnegie Bryggeriet is hosting a special event for the day, with Irish music from trad band Tjaut and a menu inspired by Irish cooking.

The following bars also have events planned for St Patrick’s Day: The Auld Dub, The Liffey, Old Beefeater Inn, Southside, Wirströms Pub, O’Connells Irish Pub, Galaways and Pickwick.

The Swedish-Irish Society are also running their annual St Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade starts at Kungsträdgården where everyone gathers at 12:00, and children will have the opportunity to learn some Irish, try out some Irish dancing and get balloons and face-painting. It then starts moving at 13:00 and travels over to Gamla Stan.
