The music, tech and future-focus festival Gather has stood out on the Stockholm festival scene since its inception in 2017, for its innovative blend of cutting-edge club music and new-thinking conference programme. And now the festival has confirmed it’ll be returning for a third edition in 2019.
The details for the 2019 edition are a little thin on the ground at the moment, with more news set to be announced soon. What do know is that Gather 2019 will be in a new venue, following the closure of Nobelberget, home to the 2017 and 2018 editions. It’s also been confirmed that next year’s festival will take place in September, the same as previous editions.
“We’re super happy and proud to be able to do Gather again for the third time. The response from the participants over the previous two years has been fantastic, and if it wasn’t the for huge interest from both our guests and partners a third edition would not have been possible”, says Kristina Kockum, CEO of Gather.
“In 2019 we’re taking Gather to a whole new place, and creating a new, exciting environment completely in-line with Gather’s concept. We can unfortunately not say where yet, but we’ll be revealing that shortly. The environment of the venue is important for both us and the visitors, so it feels great that we’ll be able to build a new, exciting world to be sucked into”, says the festival’s Jakob Grandin.
