If Girl Band were the last great muscular rock band to emerge from the Irish scene, then Fontaines D.C. might just be poised to follow them. Their Buzzcocks-meets-The-Fall sound, all draped in a clear Dublin drawl, has seen them hit the international circuit this summer, playing European festivals, a KEXP live session and a tour with Shame. Now they’re coming to Stockholm for the first time, playing Obaren in January.
