EGG And Made by Choice Open Pop-Up Restaurant For Stockholm Design Week

A little sample of Finland’s new food and design culture is coming to Stockholm this weekend, as the restaurant EGG and design company Made By Choice are teaming up for a pop-up omelette outlet on Kornhamnstorg. The baby of Michelin Star-winning chef Jouni Toivanen, EGG is a restaurant concept that aims to reinvent fast food culture in healthy way. Visitors can pick up quick omelettes in meat, fish and vegetarian varieties, with all ingredients locally produced. For design week they’re teaming up with the Finish design studio Made By Choice (who have also done the interiors for their three restaurants in Finland). As part of its Design Week activity, Made by Choice are putting together the interior of an EGG pop-up restaurant on Kornhamnstorg, where they’ll be launching three new products, the Airisto pall and sideboard by Joanna Laajisto, the Tikku Table by Ari Kanerva and the Silent Tree by Katrín Ólína.

Kitchen master at EGG Ossi Paloneva says: “We believe that the Finnish omelette can become a well-loved and healthy fast-food alternative in Stockholm. An important part of EGG is implementing our ideas together with others who share our philosophy on durability, simplicity and quality. To collaborate with Made By Choice was therefore a perfect match. We can give our visitors in Stockholm a complete experience, attractive both to their eyes and taste-buds”.
