Beer Hall Burgers At Lådan

Posted April 11, 2017 in Food & Drink

Jon Widegren has managed to create something few other restaurateurs have accomplished. His Flippin’ Burgers restaurant have seemingly had lines around the block ever since they launched five years ago in a modest little venue in Kungsholmen. In an instant he ignited a burger boom that continues to this day, and the reputation of his Flippin’ Burgers meant it outgrew its first location and they had to move to Odenplan. Now Jon has his sights set on opening two new ventures this spring. First up is Lådan, originally intended to house their food truck when it wasn’t out providing sliders to hungry passers-by, but now open as a bar with seven locally produced beers on tap plus the aforementioned sliders and other smaller dishes.
“It’s not that well-thought-through,” says Jon. “It’s in the form of a beer hall. Somewhere to just hang out.” He also expects guest appearances from other restaurants.
His second new venture is a sausage bar on Kungsholmen that will serve locally produced sausage from Korvhantverk in Råcksta, shoe string fries, ice cream and beer.

Lådan is now open, Luntmakargatan 63.
