Gig Highlight: Amason And Vacation Forever At Trädgården

It’s been a while since we heard anything from Amason. The supergroup (Amanda Bergman, Gustav Ejstes (Dungen), Pontus Winnberg (Miike Snow), Petter Winnberg (Little Majorette) and Nisse Törnqvist (Little Majorette)) released the last of their aeronautically-titled records, California Airport Love in 2016 (after the album Sky City and EP Flygplatsen), and have since been quiet as the members got back to the day job. But now they’re working on new material to complement Sky City’s lush, classical pop songs, and you can hear it live for the first time at Trädgården on Thursday when they play the Popaganda pre-party.

Joining them on the bill is someone we have heard a lot from lately, art-pop star Vacation Forever. Zacharias Zachrisson released his debut EP EP 1 in July and spoke to us at the same time, when he said: “Yeah, totally. I want to create my own universe, where my heart is allowed to bleed, where you can say that and it’s ok. You don’t have to hide everything. Kind of like The Cure, they’re just out there with the lyrics, they’re just so honest and pure. And if you create your own universe, you have your own rules, and in my universe it’s ok to be like super honest about what you’re feeling”. After a show at Stay Out West in August, he’s back in Stockholm on Thursday.
